In the restaurant of the Provincial House Gelderland I built a profane altar. Only the title and the form of the object are references to church and prayer. The image of the altar is missing every indication to a religion. The altar is build from and decorated with empty food-packages, cans, ketchup-bottles, fruitchest-wood, plastic forks, knifes and spoons, French fries forks and artificial display-food. The altar is illuminated by plastic shaded and table-lamps made out of empty ketchup- and deep fat bottles. Food as a sacrifice on self-built and invented altars is as old as mankind.

'Give us this day' is an altar as well as a sacrifice.
